I cannot believe it is already October, and that I somehow missed an entire month of blogging when my goal was to post at least once a month.
Happy month of October!
My work life has been entirely too busy lately. It’s not necessarily hard, but it can be overwhelming for my brain. I’ve been using so much brain energy during the workday that by the time I’m done, I’m just exhausted for my actual daily life.
So things like blogging, putting new stuff on eBay, cataloging the things I draw, and keeping up with all my little projects have kind of taken a back seat.
For a little while, I honestly wasn’t even drawing much. Thankfully, that has picked back up again.
And can I just say, I LOVE drawing puppies. I seriously just want all my friends and family to send me pictures of their dogs so I can try to draw them. Apparently this is who I am now.
OH YES, AND I’M OFFICIALLY AN AUTHOR!
I’m so excited to finally be able to say that. I have 10 copies of my book on their way to me, and whatever I don’t give away, I’m planning to put on eBay along with some fun ACEOs. Because obviously I can’t just sell the book. I have to turn it into an entire little art thing.
Also, because apparently we needed one more thing going on in our lives, we found a stray dog.
His name is Moose, and we’ve been taking care of him while trying to find him his forever home. Unfortunately, my dogs are jerks, so I can’t bring him inside. I also don’t want to stress my dogs out too much by suddenly bringing another dog into their space.
So for now, we’re doing our best to take care of Moose, find him the right person, and add “temporary stray dog parents” to the list of things we apparently do now.
So that’s October so far. Work, art, puppies, a book, a stray dog, and a little bit of chaos.
